In this introductory session about sustainable architecture, Regenerative Design & Infrastructures Specialist Scott McAulay, and Passivhaus Designer Janice Lau will show-and-tell Architype's pioneering work across Scotland, that builds upon 40 years of extending the horizons of sustainable design and catalysing wider impacts across the U.K. Supporting the decarbonisation of this challenging, yet crucial, sector - construction and housing, involves the decarbonisation of the buildings that we live, work, learn and play in as much as what we are yet to build, and to do that well, we must first learn the fundamentals of sustainable architecture and investigate how buildings perform in-use. This is a rare opportunity for any UHI student or staff member with an interest in the buildings and places we call home, to deepen their understanding of what makes sustainable places and to reimagine the future of our built environments together.
